Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

This is the link to all original drivers from Sony for your PCV-RS410 http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-li...eType=Original

Your audio is Realtek AC'97 you can get the most up to date drivers here from Realtek http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True

download the (Excution file ) choose one of the 3 download sites, save to desktop and then double click the file and follow on screen insruction. ( The site can be slow )

I'm having the same problem here.
Here is my system information: Sony Corporation PCV-RS420(UC) 28003931
System Serial Number: 3063391
My operating system is Windows XP Professional (build 2600).
It would be great if you could help.

Then go here to Sony this is the link to all drivers on your system

your audio is the ADI SoundMAX download and save to Desktop, it's an exe so double click and follow on screen instructions.

Before doing anything What happened ? let me know

Go back to the site, under Motherboard / download and install the Intel 865PE Chipset driver, install then RESTART your computer, and if sound not working install the driver again.

Everything was downloaded/installed successfully, but there's still no sound.
There's still a yellow question mark in front of "Multimedia Audio Controller".

is the Soundmax audio showing up under Sound,video and game controllers ?
in Device Manager.

Can you please help me?
I uninstalled my graphic accelator by accident while I was removing some useless program in control pannel. I dont know how to get it back! I downloaded Belarc but Belarc doesn't tell me about the programs i uninstalled. Help me?!

Can you please help me? I'm having the same problem as everyone else, and I've been going crazy trying to fix it. Here's what Belarc says about my computer.

Im having exactly the same problem. I re-installed my windows xp system due to various matters however when I click on 'Device Manager' under 'Other Devices'
Multimedia Audio Controller and Universial Serial Bus Controller both have yellow exclamination marks. What can I do to resolve this problem?
