Who is the maker of your motherboard, ASUS, Gigabyte, Intel ther are so many I need that name. If you don't know download Belarc Advisor ( free programe ) it will give the make and model of your board, Get it here http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

If you have the Motherboard CD you can use Device manager to install the drivers. Put Motherboard Cd in Drive, if it opens just close and leave in drive.
Go to Multimedia sound driver in Device Manager, double click Multimedia Sound > select Driver tab > Update Driver >the Hardware Update Wizard opens > click Radio button Yes ,this time only > Next.and follow instructions. Device manager will extract file from Cd.

I recently uninstalled my Realtek sound manager by accident.now i went to control panel and went to add hardware and i tried reinstalling the audio controller but no success at all.i dont know where to get info on my computer,all i know its Windows XP professional

Download and save two drivers, ATA Driver, Audio Driver make a note of their name and where to find them.

First install the ATA Driver then restart the computer

Second install the Audio driver

Create a System Restore Point just in case

First get the Chipset driver here http://support.packardbell.com/uk/my... 3020051#show
install and restart the computer

Then the Audio Driver here http://support.packardbell.com/uk/my... 3020051#show
and install

Tryed it no sound at all it makes my internet connection go haywire lol
is anything else u could recommend
PS. IS SoundMax ATI Audio drivers the one im supposed to get,because theres 2?
