Multimedia Audio Controller Problems

Hey, sorry about the delay in response, it's busy here. Anyways, I did what you said and I downloaded it and it kind of works...My music plays, but no sound comes out, I no longer get an error message, that's all that happened. And what audio is plugged into the USB you ask? It's a webcam

Check this out Check Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Properties / Audio Tab / Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio device is selected; something like modem line 0 playback might have been substituted for the proper audio device. Information by Jim Pivonka.

Ive tried too find drivers for my onboard sound i get no sound at all my mother board is PT800TWIN that motherboard is made by jetway and if u can find drivers i would be super happy thanks alot!

hey,
I just recently got a second hand computer from work and my mate who had it last must deleted the multimedia audio controller when going through add/remove programs  and there is no sound coming through my speakers. When i stick some Logitech USB headsets in sound comes out normally. Also a "found new harware" window comes up everytime i start the computer wanting software for the "multimedia audio controller" but fails to find any software when i allow it to search. Should i try a systems restore or is there anywhere that i can download the software from? Heres the comp. info:

PLs, Help me with this, this is urgent,
I've read this whole thread and i think this is the appropriate place to come...!
I am constently having issues with my sound (C-Media or something) and recently lost my drivers without any notice, i installed some, but when it came down to installing multimedia audio controller, it wont install,( it had a big yellow question mark on it, in device manager) i recieved the found new devices thingy tried to install it with windows update and my installation CD, it still wont install, when i try to open audio from media player it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device," pls pls pls help me!!
PS- I installed the everest corp software, and this is what it sayz!

i need help 2 put the sounds in the same thing from ppls questions
i just dont know if this is my computer i dont know 1 but i thing its quietrack or intel inside. Intel inside is lower and quietrack is in front of where u put the cds

What u suggested Bookworm didnt work it came up with a error saying if i install this then it will make my speakers not work and they dont work!!!!
so i uninstalled that driver and now im waitin for another one and i ran that berlick or w/e proggy and it says its a

Had a look at the board, Gigabyte GA-8ST800 (L) the audio is Realtek AC'97 go here to Realtek http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True
download the (Excution file) save to desktop, double click to install
Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
