Your board is an ECS 755-A2
Heres the link to all drivers http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Downloa...uID=40&LanID=9
it shows the audio as Realtek, and by the version number it's the AC'97, you say you have installed this driver, look in Control Panel / Add Remove programes, it should show Realtek AC'97 in the list, if it's not there it's not installed. This is a zip file, you will need to unzip and then install.
The driver is also available here from Realtek http://w3serv.realtek.com.tw/downloa...&Software=True
this is an exe file you just double click to install.
Any yellow question marks showing in Device Manager?
hope this helps

Your motherboard is a Legend QDI Avance-10E/10B
Go here to QDI http://www.qdigrp.com/qdisite/eng/su...downloadcd.htm
your audio driver is a VIA 686B, 686A ( AC'97 Audio) scroll down, it's near the lower end and download the VIA686_Audio.zip you will need to unzip this file to install.
Hope this helps

686 driver, 1.20
I have downloaded the appropriate driver and unzipped it using Winzip. When I double click on the setup.exe application, it says that "VIA AC97 audio chipset is not enabled on this system! Please enable it first on the BIOS, then run this setup again"
How would I do this? I can't figure out how to access or alter the BIOS using this system (windows 2000 professional...i'm used to win98).
Please help me!

A few model at Gigabyte are named K8 Triton, if you used Belarc look at this line 128 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: i845PE-W83627
it should give the model " boards I've found K8NS Pro, and K8NSNXP ( this one shows the nForce3 chipset) just check and let me know.
Hope this helps

Not an expert on the BIOS, I've sent a PM to another member who knows more than me, I'm waiting for his reply.

Barbara,
I am having a problem with no sound from my computer (other than the Windows startup music). I have a Dell Dimension 4400 that uses Creative Soundblaster Live! Value Digital 1024 soundcard. My operating system is Windows XP. I have attempted to reinstall the drivers directly from the disk as well as from Creative's website but get error during the install. I had a warning ! on my multimedia audio controller. I ran a Berlarc and these are my results...
