No Sound ...but Card Working??

Hi all

installed yahoo messenger last night, re-boot and NO SOUND??
card working ok (did SYTEM PROPERTIES/HARDWARE etc etc and says DEVICE IS WORKING OK.

YES THE VOLUME IS CONTROLS ARE UP (sorry but already thought of that)

Any suggestions??

Try reinstalling the sound driver. If you don't know how to do this check on your soundcard manufacturers website and check the disks that came with your PC, most computers come with a sound driver disk. If you cannot access the website and have no disk search Google for "<soundcard name> drivers".
