XP Logon
Hi All,
Got a major problem with Windows XP and its really doing my head in.
I got hold of a copy of XP and installed it, everything was fine. Boots up first time and it has the logon screen with my name on it and asks for a password to continue! I have never entered a password.
I then restarted the computer in safe mode (so i could change the password). Again i get the logon screen, this time with the Administror logon aswell as my own. Tried to login as the administrsator and i can't., as it asks for a password. I never set up a password for the administrator account!
I have pressed Control-Alt-Delete twice aswell and tried to logon in as administrator using that method, i have tried leaving the password blank here to but it still wont let me logon.
I also keep getting a logon message that reads
"The system cannot log you on due to the following error:
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contatcted
Please try again or consult your system administrator"
So guys please give us a hand here and let me know how i can logon on to my computer and change these flamin passwords.
Many thanks
System info:
O/S = Windows XP Pro
Hardware: Brand new Dell Inspriron 9300
No other software added at this point as i cant logon!
