Windows media player

My media player has commenced to playing video clips upside down. This happened about the time I installed Veo Stingray Suite. Before I start uninstalling stuff is there a simple solution? I notice that the microsoft intro plays correctly but all the other clips are upside down including the Compaq Ipaq intro. I have v. 7.01..... Media Player using the ME OS.
If anyone knows the solution - thanks.

I think this might help:

Download the latest Codec Pack...

http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/

and make sure you follow the warnings before you install "Nimo Codec 5.0 build 8", but it sounds like you need to check the option of "Bicubic Resizer Filter" when installing the full package so that your video does not display upside down.

Hope this helps

Red face

Nimo? I've looked at this and it's instructions and it's quite impressive isn't it?........ except I'm only familiar with standard, old-fashioned Queen's English! - I was tempted to offer my services as a writer to make it all coherent to old-fashioned literate people, but couldn't find a way to communicate with the 'Nimo' culprits (OK you young geeks, get it off your chests and call me an old fuddy or whatever the latest insult is).

eg, how do we choose a download and what do we do with it (to interface with WMP, DivX, Quicktime, RealPlayer, etc when it's sat there in the TEMP folder waiting to be de-compressed to do its worst?

And how do we know the criptic name of the 'codec' we need?

Do me a favour Nimo (and gormless BT)!

Does anyone else agree with me that the whole subject of video and audio formats needs coherent enlightenment (I'm a technical author and would be thrilled to do that for this forum for free if someone is able to supply me with the necessary details)?
