Thumbs down XP help

My daughter-in-law decided she needed to reinstall XP Home. After reinstalling it, the hard drive shows only .99g, it is a 80g hard drive. I have some of the drivers back on the computer but cannot install all of them or any software. It has been awhile since I worked on any hard drive problem and have forgotten just waht to do.
Can someone please help???
It is a Dell and under warrenty but they still want to charge her to fix the problem.

What processor, if it's an Intel, check with Dell and install the chipset driver, the sites here http://support.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home.asp

Hope this helps

I talked to her tonight and she went ahead and formatted it and reinstalled XP. She says it is OK now.
