Links in an Outlook Express Message

I am using Outlook Express for Email, my OS is Widows XP Professional.

If an Email that I receive has a link to a web site in the body of the message I cannot double click the link and then go to the site, if I right click the link I get a menu allowing me to save the copy the shortcut and then paste it into my brouser which is the Internet Explore.

Is this a common problem and does anyone know of a solution?
