cannot run Win XP,problem with video driver

I have Win XP Pro.By mistake I deleted "virtual drive" software
Now when I open Win I have Win XP desktop theme,then
I have unknown resolution and I have thin colored stripes
all over my screen.I've used startup disk,but it didn't work
like in Win98 (safe mode),so now I cannot do anything.

Well i would try to use the win xp pro cd and boot that up instead of the startup disk then do a repair install
