According to Microsoft, "Windows XP Media Center is a superset of XP Pro (So its built on top of XP
Pro). You would follow the same method to install it as you do for Windows
XP Professional."

Instructions for installing it are on this Microsoft page.

You are correct. I have a computer with the 2005 version of the Media Center installed and it is built over XP Pro.

couldnt install iis component for win xp pro media center ed

I just tried to install the component from the Cd and the C: drive, but non of those opptions worked, the alert always said the same: could not find the bla.dll archive. Any idea about this?
I made the entire process: start -> control panel -> add/quit programm -> add or quit windows components -> select the iis component -> next; then the error appears, chose the random file shown and selected it, and then again the same error. The same happened for the C: drive either the cd, pls can you help me?
