My audio is screwed up after accepting MSN webcam

My friend sent me an invite to view his webcam (MSN video conversation thing) and there was a windows popup thing telling me to press next to setup the microphone thing. After setting this up, (like 3 clicks) my audio is screwed. There is some echo noise.

How do I fix this without reformatting? Can I turn this off?
