Updating video card drivers

Hi all, Can I get some advise on the proper way to remove old video drivers and updating to new ones?? I always manage to screw something up and have to install 3-4 times before it works right.
Have 6600Gt (N-vidia drivers) on Windows XP w/ sp2.

Thanks

Hi ... When ever you want to uninstall programs ? Always go to the add and
remove programs area and click uninstall , Then afterwards go to the
explorer ( right click the start buttom and select explorer ) expand the
“Program Files " under the C Drive ( If this is where windows is install )
Now look for the folder of the program that you just uninstall , highlight
and delete it , You can also do a file and folder search for that program
and delete all the perfetch files ,Or if you want to be sure you got the right
file you can just go to the prefetch folder itself and delete everything within
that folder but , not the folder just the content within that folder
C:/Windows/Prefetch , afterwards then delete the recycling bin ,
Reboot the computer and now try to reinstall the software again ,
See if this helps

I have a Dell Dimension B1100 with an Intel 3D AGP. I'm unable to locate and update my driver. Can't connect to internet, a message tells me that I need to adjust any display settings. So I adjusted the settings to proper standards, but still have issues. Can any one give some helpful advice please? I'm new to all this.

Thanks

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case

Start instructions / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a Restore point and follow
