Desktop Backgrounds

Hi all,
When i click on apperance and themes and then desktop from the control panel all of my availble backgrounds are displayed. How can i remove some of those choices whithout actually deleting the imge,

Any help will be appreciated,

If you know where the images are stored, then all you got to do is to move them to another folder.
