Pls help me detect sound problem on my system

hi,

after installing some antivirus package, the sound on the system died. i did check everywhere and all functions appear to be normal but there is no volume. I did uninstall d software but in vain.

I have realtec audio '97 with Intel 865G! i did try usin my motherboard drivers cd to install but this didnt work either!

another strange thing happend! after downloadin the free antivirus an autohotkey got installed and when i tried uninstalling, d program is not there in add remove programs but it appears everytime i start the system.

I would be grateful if anyone can help me with this

Have you tried system restore to an earlier date before the problem ?

Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click the Restore My Computer to an earlier time,click next.
