XP Recovery

Hi,
I tried to partation an XP machine with Partation Magic because I want to install 2000 Server. During the partation process the computer shuts down.

Since then I have got black screen and asking me to go with start up options and everytime i choose one, it will restart.

I , fortunately, managed to find recovery CD.

But unfortunately, I am looking at a black screen which says C:\>

Now, i don't know where and how to go from there....

Can anyone help me to get back to normal state please...i will do the partation again when i get back to the normal state.

I'm not exactly sure how it will work with your precise computer, but type the following:

[name of cd drive]: (example--> "d:")
dir

then look through the list and there should be a command named something like
"setup.exe" or "install.exe"

type the suitable command from the list and go from there.

It is very bad if partitioning process was terminated.. First of all you should run scan disk after system booting.
Were you able to enter a system at least?
