Just reinstalled xp pro sp2 on the wifes computer, when I try to connect to it from my computer, I can see it in naborhood network I can see all the shared folder. but when I try to open the folder I get this message, YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THIS NETWORK RESOURCE. CONTACT ADMIN TO FIND OUT IF YOU HAVE PERMISSION. Permission are set to full ive try turning the guest acount on. And I just noticed that when I try to open one of her folder through the network I dont get a logon for her computer. any Ideas?

what OS is your comp? assuming both are WIN XP pro, try this:

right click on My computer --> Manage.
computer management window will come up, in it expand the "Local User and Groups" and select "Groups"

Double-click Users --> Add.... --> Advanced -->Find Now and then Choose "Everyone". OK --> OK --> OK.

I dont know if rebooting is required, but just reboot the computers and then try to access the folders. If it doesnt work still, try doing the same procedure on other PC too!

I think it should work. Best of luck
