Local area connection unplugged

Hey guys,

I get this really annoying pop up from my taskbar when I try signing into MSN Messenger (7.5 and 8Beta). It says "Local Area Connection" "A network cable is unplugged" then I get signed out of MSN and all my other applictaions cut out. It then reconnects to the internet and my msn signs back in. But then guess what it happens all over again. My Windows Messenger and all other application work fine its just the newer versions of MSN and it really bugs me. I've included a picture:

Its hard to see, but its the small box coming out of the taskbar. I also noticed that when this pops up my MSN tabs appear as question marks. I have no idea how to fix this hope you guys can help! It really sucks using windows messenger to talk to my friends.

It seems as if MSN is trying to connect to a faulty internet connection that you have set up.

Trying deleting my connections and deleting all connections that you do not use.

Go to start>control panel>Internet connections>
It will list several internet suppliers. When you click on each one, you can delete, repair, remove, etc. from the sidebar on the left side of the screen.

I had the same problem with the pop-up at the bottom of the screen, although it didn't cause anything to mal-function. Do you have DSL, and connect your Puter with the Ethernet cable? Or do you connect with the USB cable? That's when my problem started...when I changed from dialup to Bellsouth DSL.

I simply called Bellsouth Cust Tec, and she took care of it and I never saw the pop-up again.
