Internet Explorer

Hi

I run Windows XP home edition SP2 on three networked pcs. All have the lastest patchs etc from MS. I also use adware pro and spybot. I recently installed on my main PC a new firewall , virus checker and yahoo messenger which between them upset this PC no end. I got rid of these progams after a struggle and went back to the MS firewall and AVG free virus. Some time during this period I got infested with various virus's. This only affected my main pc which is now clean and I no longer get notification of any virus's or spyware being present. My problem is with IE on my main PC it runs very slowly and sometimes freezes, IE on my two networked PC's runs perfectly so I think I have managed to damage IE on my main PC. Is there any easy way of reinstalling IE on my main machine without any chance of me losing any personal data

regards

Another option would be to use this general purpose fix.

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys. Think I will try the SP2 option first expect I will have to reapply all the patches again but thats not a problem.
