Need help with new video card.
Hi all. Currently have 128Mb 6600Gt card. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have a 256Mb 6800Gt card.
In the past I have always had problems updating video card drivers. Ended up installing 2-3 times before they finally caught. I have donloaded the latest Nvidia drivers. Can someone spare the time to tell me exactly how to update the drivers for use with the new card. I really need info on the Nvidia driver. It is a ".exe" file. In the past, while updating drivers I double clicked on the ".exe" and the file opened into temp folder but didn't "take." I always had to go into the temp folder find the "setup.exe" file and double click on that to install the drivers again. As mentioned , this would take 2-3 tries before I got it to work. It was always easier installing the video card drivers from the Cd but they were usually months old.
Can anyone talk me thru switching video cards removing/installing drivers in the proper order?
