Weird problem with sound :S Help please

Hi, I am having a problem with my sound for some reason, it has been fine for nearly a year now and all of a sudden the Sound Agent 2 Program will not open, when I click on it, it will say Error : Cannot Initialise devise? Why is this :S. I tried to uninstall all the drivers and such and to add to the weirdness I use the disk to install and everytime it goes to install my computer restarts? I have download other drivers from the internet to try that and the problem persists. I have also ran a virus check and reformated my computer and still no help, and I doubt its the sound card, please help
