Dell XPS M170 - XP Media Center & 42" Plasma!

OK, so I decided to try an experiment last night and hook my XMS M170 up to my Samsung 42" Plasma TV via VGA cable. What a cool experience, especially with XP Media Center. I was able to play a DVD full screen on the TV while I still had use of the laptop screen for web-browsing and stuff. Unfortunately my Plasma is an older version only EDTV not HDTV so no DVI input only VGA. I can deffinitely see the future of home entertainment and XP Media Center. This has caused me to consider a new Media Center PC for integration into my entertainment system. Ths thought of being able to catalog all my music on the PC and maybe even burn my favorite DVD's to a HD for quick access would make for a very cool system. I know I an starting to sound like a tech-geek, but I love technology and this is very cool indeed.

Please add on with your own experiences with XP Media Center.
