Recovery Console problem

I'm trying to use the Microsoft Recovery Console that is on a friend's Windows XP CD and, even though I am certain of my admin password, it will not let me login. I login with the same password for administrator when logging into my computer normally, so why can't I login to the recovery console?

My problem is that I cannot login when using Recovery Console and I am certain that I'm using the correct password because I use the same password to login to Windows as the administrator normally.

What is your goal? What are you trying to achieve??

Can you not boot into Windows normally, Safe Mode, Last Know Good Configuration?? What issue/s are you experiending that you feel the need to use the Recovery Console?? Need a lot more information, I'm afraid.
