Unhappy download manager

i was curious when i used to download from any site it would always ask me where i wanted to download to. now when i download it is sticking it automatically in a temp folder that i just cant seem to find how can i get this back to asking where i want to download to everytime i want to download. thanks in advance for any help. very frustrating

Do you mean Internet Explorer? Clear history and temp files in options and try again. If that dos'nt work reset everything to default and try again. If you do get the download window make sure "always ask before downloading" is checked.

thank you all for the quick responce i have not tried any download manager. i am going to do some research before i choose. i really over looked the very simple soultion to this as save target as i have never had to do this before where it always did it automatically. thanks again for the suggestons.

If I can offer some advice on Download Managers. Stay away from Download Accelerator Plus and Kontiki. They insinuate themselves into everything and are hard to get rid of. DAP will hound you steady to buy something. I found Stardownloader to be adware and spyware free and there are others. But yes, do a lot of research on them.
