Jagged Icons in Quick Launch Bar

Hello.

New to this forum.

I have a new Acer Travelmate 8106WLMi running Windows XP Professional (fully patched).

My icons in the quick launch bar and next to the clock have been small, smooth edged, until I changed the Windows XP theme. Now whatever theme I choose the icons are not as small as they were, and jagged around the edges.

Any idea how I can get back to nice, smooth, small icons in the quick launch bar?

Thanks for your reply.

I sorted the problem by doing a system restore to a point when the icons were ok.

Well, Xp's auto restore(I don't know that if it is auto backup or restore or something else) ?
I would use ghost instead
