Hi, there are many reasons for this to happen...

The Page file that is used by the Virtual Memory Manager may be damaged.

1. Turn on your system like always
2. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Performance, click Settings.
5. Click the Advanced tab.
6. Under Virtual Memory, click Change.
7. Click No paging file. Click OK, click OK, and then click OK.
8. Restart your computer.
9. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
10. Click the Advanced tab.
11. Under Performance, click Settings.
12. Click the Advanced tab.
13. Under Virtual Memory, click Change.
14. Click System managed sized. Click OK, click OK, and then click OK.
15. Restart your computer.

hi happened again last night did read somewere that it could be the nvidea firewall ,so have turned that of and will see what happens, also if all else fails will be getting a new hard drive soon and will have a fresh install on it,as the drive i have at the mo is from my old machine which has a preinstalled xp on it and i recently put xp pro on it and it asks me what operating system to use when booting ,so maybe there is a few conflicks although i have removed all the old drivers from the old system when i formated the drive ,so all that was on the drive was the preinstalled xp in a partion.
