Log on problems

I cannot log on to any site that requires a id and password. Everything was fine until Sunday. I can view sites (Yahoo, MSN, etc) but anytime I try to enter my userid and password, I get the "The page cannot be displayed" error. I have tried changing the ActiveX controls, resetting the security settings, restoring XP to an earlier date, ran numerous virus scans, fix bad files, you name it. Short of reinstalling XP, I am lost for actions. Any ideas?

You could see if your firewall or pop-up blocker is causing this. Temporarilly turn them off and try the sites again.
