Audio Controller Unit not found

I am trying to install a soundcard on my computer, but Windows cannot find a "audio Controller Unit" (translated from Swedish).

It says the reason is that the manufacturer (Silicon Integrated Systems) hasn´t given microsoft the driver, and thus windows cannot find it.

Now, Where the hell can i find the driver for it, so i can install my audio card. as of now, the computer´won´t even identify the fact that the audio card is installed, which means that i cannot install a driver for the audio card.

I´ve tried the drivers on SiS's homepage, but they are for the soundcard itself, that the computer won´t find

Please help!

Send a message via Yahoo to LooseChippings
Start > Control Panel > Add Hardware ...........

On the first screen that comes up there is a Yellow Triangle with !

Quote:
If your hardware came with an installation CD, it is recommended that you click Cancel to close this wizard and use the manufacturers CD to install this hardware.

Have you tried this method?

Need the make and model or the motherboard info, Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
