I seem to have overlooked you, this is your audio driver from HP http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...89312&dlc=e n
Conexant High Definition audio
But first you need to install this M$ driver http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...reg_R1002_USEN
SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE
Hope this helps

If you are sure that you have the same system, then install drivers from links given for major

Hi there,
Could anyone please recommend any drivers that would allow my computer to detect any audio mixer devices other than "line-in" and "microphone"? I'm trying to use audacity to record sounds off of my computer and neither "line-in" nor "microphone" will do it properly.
I'm not sure if it matters, but I've got a Dell Dimension E310 with the standard sound card that came with it.
Thanks for any help,
Pascal (Orglesnorf)

This is the link to your Sony drivers http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu...eType=Original
audio is ADI soundmax
but first check this
Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Properties / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.
SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE
Hope this helps

Are ther any other problems with sound, does Device Manager show any yellow flags, check this out
Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Properties / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.
Hope this helps

The "No Audio Device" thing is the only problem with my sound. A few days ago it was working fine, but the next day it just stopped working completely and gave me the "No Audio Device" thing.
Device Manager shows a yellow flag on Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer.
Also, under the Audio tab I can't choose anything; all the options are grayed out.

This is the link to your Asus motherboard drivers http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us
but check this first
Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply > click Start > Reboot.
the audio is in 3 parts,
SETA SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE
Hope this helps

Windows Audio was already set to "Automatic", and the problem still persists.
For the motherboard drivers, which ones am I supposed to get? ASUS makes it confusing for me to determine the drivers I should download. Also, what do you mean by "the audio is in 3 parts"?
I've had this happen to me before. However, the problem always went away after a couple reboots, but not this time. Also, I've noticed that the problem usually comes up after a Windows Automatic Update. I hope this information helps you to help me pinpoint the cause of this problem. Thanks for your help so far
