Alright, I am not sure what else to do so i figured i could try a site like this and get some feed back from some real people for a change!
-I have Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
-I recently was forced to upgrade my version of iTunes to accomidate the iPod that i got for christmas. The new version would not open. I unstalled it and It appeared in the registry but that was as far as it would go.
-To solve this problem i was told by Apple Tech Support to go into MSCONFIG and disable everything from starting except for iTunes.
-I did this and it worked; I was able to connect my iPod and upload music onto it.
-iTunes however, suddenly quits at times and will not start back up again, forcing me to go back into MSCONFIG and de-select everything again(because by now the files that I will mention below have started, even though they are not supposed to) and then restart my computer
-I believe that the offending files that are keeping iTunes from opening are one or both of the following:
xqho.exe
or
wioprw.exe
-I have tried deleting both things using the registry editor but they both come back and something is still keeping iTunes from working properly.
EDIT: I am sorry that i don't really have any specific information or specs about my computer..i don't really know anything about that stuff...hopefully that information won't be nessecary. Obviously I don't know much about computers, so any help in the simplest language possilble would be tremendously appreciated.
THANKS!
