Can anyone help me out? Windows Media Player won't play DVDs!!

It's a Dell Latitude D510, with XP Professional SP2, (just installed)

The XP disk doesn't have the driver- basically, all I need is a link where I can download a new driver. Thanks anyone.

Is there any other place to get the video driver for an eMachines model T5212 other than http://www.emachine-upgraders.info/d...ownloads.shtml?

That page isn't loading.

The page loads fine for me, your video is an integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics, you could try the AMD/ATi site direct for drivers if the page continues not to load.

I have a NF61S mobo and a PCIE ATI x1650 pro.

When I have the PCIE card in the PC the only video drivers I have are 2 that will not install

video controller and
video controller(agp compatable)

Please help, I have tried the CD, website, downloaded drivers and everything I can think of. This is my third mobo with this problem. Have i been out of PC work for so long that drivers have drasticly changed on how to install a simple video card?

I am at my witts end here, help.

It is a biostar nf61S micro 754 motherboard

Chipset is MCP61S (geforce 6100-405)

I have also tried Nvidia site, the 405 chipset drivers do not have an xp video chipset driver in the download at all. I have even tried other brands of motherboard with the same chipset, and nothing. I am begining to think this is a vista motherboard, and the only way to run anything but stock video is to buy and install vista. I went from a simple mobo purchase to fix my PC into a hard drive, video card, and now leaning twords vista. This thing is starting to be a moneypit, and still doesnt work.

Had a look at manual, that board is for Win2K + Winxp the chipset driver is available from Biostar http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdownloa...F61S+MICRO+754

it's the WinXP/200 32-bits chipset driver, this will have the video drivers included.

I have a nVidia nForce board with Radeon x1600 Pro card and the driver I am useing is the Ati 6.8.

The display drivers need an updated chipset driver but also M$ Net Framework installed first.

Check Control Panel - Add/Remove programes - see if M$ net framework instaled. I have just updated mine as version 3 is available.

Go to Win Updates - Custom install and get the latest version.

Install the chipset drivers - Restart comp
Install M$ Net Framework
Install Graphics driver

Ati say that veresion 7.4 does not work with my card, perhaps a previous version will ork with yours, there are here http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/x...evious-xp.html

I just updated windows completely, installed M$ framework 3.0, downloaded the link provided.

The driver download uninstalled and reinstalled SMS, lan, and one other driver.

When trying to install the video card drivers I still get the error that the VGA controller needs to be installed first.

I am fed up with this video issue, would it just go away if I had windows vista installed?

Hi Im new here so not sure how everything works. Just purchased a desktop on ebay with XP professional installed on it. It has a number of problems but Im hoping to fix the VGA one first since that is the subject of this thread. Here is how my device manager looks

I ran Belarc with the following results

I know for a fact that the desktop has a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE but dont know why Belarc doesnt see it also know that it has a 802.11 bg WLAN. Not sure what the sound should be but im guessing Realtek.

I went to the HP site but when i entered my model number they only had drivers for Vista not XP. Not sure how to proceed cuz HP customer service said they cant help me if the drivers are not there, hoping I didnt get duped by the good price on ebay.
