Problems with Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE Video Card

I am guessing my computer's ailment is video card related, but I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

I have a Dell XPS 400 desktop, with a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE Video card. Comp specs: 2.80 ghz Intel Pentium D, 160 GB Hard Drive

I have graphics problems when playing FIFA 07 for PC (the screen freezes for varying lengths of time during a game). Sometimes, I am forced to hard-boot the computer.

I also occasionally have a problem with my internet explorer browser freezing up. I am interested in increasing my memory and hard drive, and possibly upgrading the video card. What should I do first?

Have you installed the latest drivers on your PC?
Run virus scans?
Directx is uptodate?
Clean your PC first or make sure it is clean and while you have the cover off check to see if the card is seated correctly.
