Audio compression problem
I am using Windows Media Player verison 10 and have all of my music organized on this program. Recently, while trying to find a codec to support a video file that would not play any audio, I downloaded AC3 filter. After downloading it and running some kind of batch file (I dont really know what I did) the sound started to work for the movie (only in DivX, it still doesnt work in REAL player or WMP). Anyways, the problem is that now when I try to play my organized music files (mpg's) in WMP it gives me the following error for ALL the songs (several thousand): "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found." or "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." I have reinstalled WMP and played around with some codec but thought I'd stop before I do more harm and ask someone who has a much better idea about what the heck is up. Please help!
