removing manufacturer's start-up screen

does anyone know how to remove the start-up screen from the manufacturer that shows up before the XP boot screen?

It's built into the bios and I don't think you'll have any luck removing it. The manufacturer is not going to tell you how for obvious reasons e.g. advertising everytime you boot up. Thats one of the downsides to buying a brand name pc I guess.
