goddam multimedia audio controller problem

Hi,

Am a complete computer novice and need help.

I have a computer brought from 'Tiny' many moons ago (serial number-pw221388). I have done a restore and lost all sound from my speakers.

I have looked in 'sounds and audio devices properties' and everything is greyed out.

I have gone to 'add hardware' and got the message 'the hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the neccesary software'

I've clicked on 'properties' and it says 'the driver for this device are not installed (code 28).

google is dam near god like more people should use it. it sounds like you dont have the needed drivers for it, some things that are "plug and pray" dont accually work. hope it helps
