Win XP Remote Printer Problem

I successfully installed a Network Printer on this Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop so I could print to the hp2175 in the other room. Not content to leave well enough alone, I uninstalled then reinstalled this printer to correct what I perceived to be a problem. Now I have TWO network printer icons for the same printer, both of which say they are "Deleting," but they never do complete the uninstallation process. Now I can neither delete nor print to this printer. I have tried everything I could think of to delete one or both, including booting up in Safe Mode, but nothing has worked so far.

Any ideas out there? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ... Try this , Go to your pinters and faxes folder , Right click on the printer as to which one you want to use and select default , Then go to the one you want to remove, right click on it and select delete ... See if this helps

Make sure there aren't any documents remaining in the print cue of the one you're trying to delete.

Double click on the printer icon, then right click on any remaining jobs and click Cancel.

That may be what you meant by "say they are Deleting", I couldn't tell from your description.
