I followed the instuctions for getting rid of spy falcon, but I wasnt able to reboot in safe mode it would always just restart on me. So I tried doing it in normal mode and everything worked. But then when I did the panda scan it said it found 42 spyware and 4 hacking tools. But had not disinfected anything. And I'm still getting the "your system is infected" pop up every few seconds. Can any one help me.

Whew!

I also just used Flaxens suggestion for getting rid of Spy Falcon and seems to have worked good. Thx...

One question I have is how do I get my internet home page to change back. Everytime I reset it, it keeps going back to a home page talking about security or something?

Thanks

To remove click here" Even when I try to close the box, I'm redirected to Spy Falcon's web page and given a dummy list of programs that were found, and in order to get rid of them, I need to buy their program. Then, no matter how many times I remove the spyfalcon software from the control panel, it installs itself again. I'm also getting annoying popups that show up in explorer every once in a while. Obviously the program causing the problem is the same one offering the fix. Adaware Se and Webroot have detected nothing, and I'm stumped. Can anyone help me?

down load ewido go into safe mode and scan then remove then reeboot should work

Remove These Files

I got this stupid program on my computer yesterday. I tried Flaxen's steps and they did find a couple of other little "bugs" but it didn't get rid of Spy Falcon. Spy Falcon will actually recognize it's own file as being corrupt, talk about spyware suicide, but the files that I noticed as being way different were:

C:\windows\system32\dfrgdrv.exe SmitFraud
C:\windows\system32\ginuerep.dll Spy Sherriff

So I deleted these files manually under a normal logon and voila! Spy Falcon no more. I was literally going through about 6 hours of it and thought about breaking out the 10 lb sledge hammer on it. Hope this helps some people.

Hope it works!

Can't wait to try out all the advice on this forum. Got hit with this bloody thing on Wednesday.

Anybody figured out a way to bomb Spy Falcon's HQ and infect their system with this crap? Anyone know of legal action taken against them or where the company is headquartered?

I want revenge!!!!

Paul,
What I did was when your windows start up, let the dumb spy falcon run itself, it will self detect the files that you need to remove manually. I'm sure that their developers are on here and are constantly tweaking things so they can screw over everyone out there. Let spy falcon do the scan then look over the files. These guys are smart, make a virus to install a program that does nothing, then take the money and run. Sounds like fraud to me.

My last suggestion is to download
Ad Aware
Avast! Antivirus
Spy Bot Search and Destroy
Windows Defender
Spyware Blaster

Avast Anitvirus will do a boot scan, which is nice, it takes forever, but it helped me find a few hidden bugs in m system.

I would also suggest to see what stuff has been added to your system32 folder by organizing it by date, then weed out what you know is good and you'll see some suspicious files I am sure. These guys don't want this stuff removed from your computer. Other than that I don't have any more advice, I'd seek professional help or a sledge hammer.
