Having a very good idea of how it got there, I tried to uninstall the program that likely (definately) put Spy Falcon on. Now my system seems to be trashed completely. I have no problem formatting and re-installing everything, but I don't want to lose 70+ gigs worth of mostly important, irreplacable files. We bought a new computer, and I tride putting my harddrive in it to salvage what I could, but my drive doesn't show up and can't be accessed. This new computer is really kinda crappy, so the problem may be with it. Does anybody know for sure if trying to remove Spy Falcon incorrectly completely ruins a harddrive? That is, should I still be able to retrieve my files, or am I SOL?

So, just wondering. Anybody able to answer my question? I really need to know. It's great all of the advice on here to help get rid of Spy Falcon, but it really doesn't help in my situation. Surely not everybody that has gotten Spy Falcon read this stuff first and knew right off how to get rid of it. Anybody?

I haven't bothered to read through all the posts in this thread; too early; too damn tired!
However, trawl through the following. There must be a resolution somewhere there: -
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Spy+Falcon+removal&btnG=Search&meta =
NB Don't forget to disable System Restore prior to purging your system/s, as your more than likely to be re-infected with the very thing you're trying to eradicate. It may even be where some of you are going wrong: -

A little help would be appreciated
Hi, I've been reading these forums to deal with my own spyware issues(zolob,fakealert-b and a few others) I finally have ridden myself of spyware...I think but now when I run Spybot-s&d I get these 2 problems.
I fix em and they keep popping up everytime...the problems are:
Windows Security Center.AntiVirusDisableNotify
and
Windows Security Center.FirewallDisableNotify
I don't know if they are a problem caused by spyware or just a tweek I need to make but it's bugging me. As well as the messages, everytime I turn my comp on I have to choose between my Mcaffee Security Center and Windows Security Center which never occured before which leads me to believe it's spyware related. I did like 5 million things I saw on this forum as well as many others and nothing worked, only thing that worked was going into System 32 and deleted the new entries(by arranging em by modified, not the created before and modified but the new ones just created) Ha it was slightly annoying to do so much crap to no avail and then to just delete a few things. I mean I tried so much stuff in almost 12 hours it was insane. All for the simple solution. Anyways sorry to ramble...but yeah if anyone knows how I can get those problems to stop occuring in Spybot that would be great. Thanks!

Thats not a problem at all. That's the configuration you have made and Spybot uses those messages as a reminder. Your antivirus program is not sharing the computer's security with any other program and has shutted down the monitory of your Windows Security center of those 2 cases. You are probably runing Norton Antivirus or McAfee Antivirus. Anyways no matter what the antivirus is this is not something you should be aware of. Your Antivirus is doing the job for you and it is correct to receive those messages when running spybot. Spybot is not able to fix this because is not a spyware. Just like I said is a reminder and even if spybot would like to correct this it will be stopped by your antivirus prog, which is the one that has selected this configuration for you...
Hope this help

Completely Remove Spy Falcon
I did a Google search found an online tutorial that shows you exactly how to remove spy falcon without buying any third party software. I looked it over, and it seems to be pretty complete and straightforward.
Spy Falcon is very tough to remove because it hijacks Windows Operating System files. You have to do a combo remove from regular and safe mode.
