bios

i have similar problem with multimedia audio controller,i have downloaded the original driver it wont load, i have no volume controls and i get a no mixer error when i click on the volume control,i have noticed that the bios has some of its features disabled ,problem seems to stem from the fact that i formatted the hard disc,it was suggested i flash the bios,so i have run belarc,any help thanks in advance. i have pasted the following info

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case

You don't say which audio driver you installed but this is the one for your motherboard, download and install, if you then still do not have sound download and install the Chipset driver and RESTART before again installing the audio driver
