Links and popups open automatically

Whenever I connect to internet and try to open any weblink, lots of other links and popups open automatically. This slows down the download of actual content. Sometimes the actual files doesn't get open at-all.

I've tried using other browsers also like : IE, Mozilla Firefox, MyIE2, etc.

Please tell me how can I prevent popups and windows to get open.

Can anyone suggestion me any virus removal tool if this is any virus. Norton doesn't detect any virus on my computer.

Thanks.

Try the latest free tool provided by Microsoft which is called "Windows Defender" from the link below.

Hope this helps.

Do some reading on spyware and popups. They are a common enough problem that you need to be knowledgeable about them and how to stop them. As mentioned above by Snowmonkey and Anzac_Elite, Defender, AdAware and Spybot are excellent in stopping the problems you mentioned.

Barring rootkits, which UnHackMe should detect and remove, those should stand you well. Microsoft's One Care is a bit too restrictive for the average user and it will eventually cost.
