Tv Tuner card problem

I have installed a Pinnacle Tv tunner card in my computer. It runs on Windows XP. The Tv tuner card is not working. it contains the following errors. Somebody told me it will work if patch is applied. Where can i find the patch for my tv tuner card ?

Hardware initialization failed

Power supply not connected
USB cable not connected
Sound card is missing
Hardware is unse by another application
Twaian driver is running

pleas help

How about removing the card physically. Then run windows, shut it down and again installing the card and it's driver. Might work!

Do what Wavemehello advised, if it doesn't work, try and re-seat into a different PCi slot.
Disconnect any peripherals attached and try again.

Can you actually get in to Windows?

If so, check device manager for any error codes.

Only my TV tunner card is not working. Rest are fine. Also, my foot pedal connected to the game port is not working. I think its the problem with the foot pedal because it never worked showed the status not connected even after connection.

The Tv tunner card has been working fine in the Windows XP until I formatted my harddisk and installed another Windows XP from my friend's CD.

The Tv tuner card error is as follows

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Its the error of Pinnacle PCTV Stero Pal Capture device.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but no luck. It is in the yellow color.

The pinnacle PCTV date service is not in the yellow color. It has no errors.

Hi Babloo,

Error code 39 relates to a registy failure.

Follow this and you can't go wrong (I hope)

It is for CD/ DVD rom drive errors, but this problem relates to all error 39 and any others and believe me, it works.

Try that, once finished, restart and if the error has gone, but you still cant access the TV card, reseat it, it should then be recognised properly.

i installed pinacle pctv vision on both win98 and xp,had similar problems,needed the win 98cd for it to install on 98 it builds a driver information base,mayb u could get your friends cd for xp and go to the exclamtion device problem update driver and point the browser to the driver files on the xp cd,it seems like driver issues on your tv card and your game pedal the original discs are helpful with these devices,i know i had to uninstall reinstall several time bfore it worked,

actually i am not familar with the windows registry etc Kevin. I tried following the intructions in the windows support.. but i couldnt find somethings in the registry. is it registry error ? need to reinstall windows xp ?

The tv tuner card was working fine before until i uninstall and reinstall windows(another windows Xp). I have done everything old timer.. but still these errors are shown.

I had the same frustrations. Well, I got this computer w/ no OS and device drivers etc. I run Belarc Advisor to find out what type of computer I bought cuz when I got this---de-branded. So far so good cuz I was able to download most of the drivers over the internet except for Hauppage Wintv PVR series II/ 150 MCE driver. I've tried downloading the CD version from Happaugge website but no good. Did follow every instructions listed in their website... still no good *sigh*. I don't know what else to do but probably will try to open the back of the computer--take out the tv tuner card and install the hardware again grr!?! Not sure if this is going to work but I will try though...

Any suggestions or any help will be appreciated.

I have HP M7100y media center desktop.

I have everything you've mentioned but I just couldn't make it work. Plugged in cable tv etc but just don't know what's wrong as to why the bugger ain't working. Every time I log in, I get the hardware found and tried to install using the correct driver but no luck at all. I should probably forget about the TV enhancement thing cuz it sure ain't going to work soon hehe!

Thank you all you guys. Finally TV tunner card is working. I downloaded a patch from the pinnacle TV tunner card and its working fine. The sound is also working fine. Now I have to take care about my DVD drive. I will find if there is any patch for the sound of the DVD. Bye take care..

Look i think u have
Pinnacle PCTV Stereo and listen dear there some problems in windows xp/sp2 and vista linux 98 so its big matter
but i have answer 1st u install the DirectX 9.0 not 9c bcoze the pinnacle supported DirectX9.0 and after install u r Driver its Good
if u need more help any drivers so please contect me

i m facing the same problem so pls let me know how you have solve this problem.....
