Smile Dell flat Monitor TFT 15"- display problem

Hi
I have a Dell flat Monitor 15" - TFt, after i boot my windows/xp home edition, there is NO display, if i switch OFF AND Switch ON, for fraction of a second i can see the display, other wise most of the time, it does not show display.
it has a hardware problem with minitor, beacuse, when i connect an other monitor, it works. there is no problem with CPU, or OPERATING SYSTEM.

would like to know, what is the exact problem with it. which component do you think it has failed.

would appreciate your help in this regard.

Post this in the Hardware Problems forum and you'll have better luck. I don't think you'll find any user replaceable parts in a flat panel if you aren't experienced with it, and I'm assuming you are not.

Get an estimate from a reputable shop and weigh the cost against replacement. For a 15" the cost probably isn't worth it, but that's just my opinion.

I'm also assuming it isn't in warranty.
