Remote Desktop works for some computers but not ALL

Hi all,

I am going crazy over this issue.

My home computer is XP pro (sp1) and I am trying to remote desktop to it.

From work (xp pro, sp2) works fine.
From friends laptop (xp home) works fine.

From my laptop (xp pro, sp2) all I get is the little yellow bar on top with the IP address and a blank screen..no login box..I do have mouse movement however.

I am 100% sure it is a configuration problem on my laptop (because of the other tests and because my friend tried his laptop on the same network where I try my laptop!) I have disabled all firewalls.

I think I was able to rule out corruption or virus problems because using my laptop, I am able to remote desktop to another computer (XP, sp2)..

So basically, I cannot remote from my laptop to home specifically. While other computers on the SAME network as my laptop can. And my laptop can remote to some third computer!

It really does sound like a config problem on my laptop. I have tried copying the files mstsc.* but still the same problem.
I apreciate any help..This is so illogical.
