Question Windows Auto Update

I have successfully installed the Windows XP SP1a update from Microsoft update web site and the logs confirm so. But everyday I still receive the same notification for new updates. Does someone know what's causing this?

Thank you,
Lex

u may have gotten the service pack update, but unfortunately there are many more updates to your computer. next time u go to the windows update web page, on the left u should see some different sections for the other updates, u can scroll through them and see all of the ones u are missing and download them, or if u really dont want to waste all that time getting all the updates u can go into the control panel from your start button and select the system icon. when in the system icon you can then select the tab that says automatic updates, and uncheck the box that says keep my computer up to date at the top. And that will stop the computer from telling u every time there is an update.

Unhappy

I did that either and downloaded all the available driver updates the site tells me to download such as;
1. 328310 - Security Update
2. 810565 - Critical Update
3. 810833 - Security Update (Windows XP)
4. 810577 - Security Update
5. 811630 - Critical Update (Windows XP)
6. 329170 - Security Update

I did downloaded these and the log said it was successful. And again this morning, when I log-on to my computer, the updates notifications are there again with the same contents above.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Lex

Windows Automatic Update

I had a similiar problem with those same 6 updates. I installed them a few times before I realized they were repeating. My computer came with SP1 installed but it sounds like you have the same type of probem. If you will look at the following post:

Your problem may be solved. It worked for me
