Post the Everest report, that could be the audio adapter not the driver, if we get the motherboard we could trace the driver that way, or if you have the make of model of the comp then they will be on the makers site.

Hope this helps

Set a System restore Point before installing driver just in case

Your motherboard is a Foxconn 755AO1-K8S755A

go here to get the audio driver http://www.foxconnchannel.com/produc...0K8S755A-6EKRS

Ok Restore to before you installed the drivers. You need Realtek AC'97 go here http://w3serv.realtek.com.tw/downloa...&Software=True

You want the 3rd on the list Windows- Version 3.84 at the bottom shows ( Execution file ) Choose on of the 3 download site / click GO / when the dialogue box appears file WDM_384.exe will appear / choose Save to Disc / with dropdown arrow in box choose Desktop as location to save / download the site can be slow / When download complete go to Desktop and double click the WDM_384.exe and the Realtek installer will launch, just follow the instructions.

Hope this helps
