Internet connection problems with limited user account

I am using a Sweex Wireless Modem/Router on my computer (host) and a Sweex Wireless PCI Card on my son's computer (client).

My computer runs Win XP Pro and has 1 admin account and 1 limited user account. On this computer, you can logon to either account and get internet connection.

My son's computer runs Win XP Home and has 1 admin account and 1 limited user account. On this computer, if you logon to the admin account, you can get internet connection but you can only get internet connection on the limited user account, if you have first logged onto the admin account and then either logged off or switched user.

Does anyone know what the problem is please?

Have now managed to sort this out myself and all is working as it should

The solution was as follows:

This wireless card was fitted into the computer straight after a clean Windows XP install (SP1 only) and consequently no windows updates had been installed prior to the card being fitted. Although I did install SP2 and all other windows updates afterwards, I didn't realise that I would need to uninstall the wireless card drivers/software and then re-install. Doing this solved the problem.

what i did

I have windows media center edition 2005 service pack 2 with several admin. accts & 2 limited user accts....all i did was share my printer on the LAN network and for some reason only ONE of the limited accts stop having internet access (only thru Internet explorer though...opera, firefox, yahoo messenger, netscape-- they all connected to the internet). All I did was open IE, go to tools-->internet options-->connections-->lan settings-->and I checked the box to automatically detect settings under automatic configuration and it worked fine...for whatever reason, "use a proxy server for your LAN" was selected...hope this helps...
