I bought one that you don't have listed there. It is an Alienware area 51m. Go to www.alienware.com and check them out. They are a little pricy but you get all the goodies.I've been running this one for about 6 months and have had absolutely no problems at all. A few co-workers of mine have also purchased them and they love them too. BTW the customer service os great too.

The 5600D monte carlo is the same as the area 51m. The monte carlo just seems to be more money for the same options. Configure them both with the options you would like and go with the one that gives you more for the dollar. Then do the same with Dell and any other that has a good track record for customer service.

for hefty specs like that, you're gonna want to pick up an alienware.

if you plan to be travelling with it, though, they get REAL hot and 11 lbs can be cumbersome after a while

if you're going to travel with it, why are you looking for such high specs? its impossible to get an ultralite that performs like an alienware

oh, well, unless you have some genetic bone weakness or something, it shouldnt be a problem as a desktop replacement type.
