Unhappy Problem installing cordless keyboard & mouse

I just bought a Packard Bell KB-200 cordless keyboard and
mouse but am having trouble installing it.

I pressed the little buttons for the ID setting as
instructed and ensured the receiver is away from my
monitor etc.

I have followed the instructions carefully and installed
the drivers from the cd supplied. I'm using the correct
ports for the receiver (the mouse & key board ports. Even
the colour coding is the same as on my old mouse and
keyboard so I can't be going wrong there!)

But so far, there is no reponse from either the mouse or
keyboard when plugged in. My old ones work fine. I have
tried restarting the computer with the new cordless
keyboard and mouse plugged in, but still no reponse.

The manual is no help at all as it doesn't even cover
this problem. So I'm a bit stuck. Can anyone help?

I have XP Home Edition btw

Thanks in advance!

Shaz

cordless mouse

Have you gone to their web site to determine that you have the latest version of their software? I had to get new software for my logitech mouse when I installed the mouse on XP.

I looked in a Packard Bell site and I could find no reference to the keyboard or mouse. I think I would take them back and get something more popular.

You didn't happen to put the transmitter near the powersupply ?
Otherwise you have to press a button to activate it.
p.s.I didn't need any software unless i wanted to make special keyboard options
I have XP Pro.useing the ps2 connection.

Hullo, I have a problem with my sahara cordless keyboard too...mine is different tho...I have been placing my sensor right ontop of the cpu( I guess that is close to the power supply enough!) Now I have to press that button on the sensor evry 15 seconds I think to get that keyboard working...when the flickering light goes off...so does my keyboard sensitivity! What should I do to revert this problem! Thanx
