scanning mpegs with NIS 2006

hi can anyone help, i have norton internet security 2006 installed on my pc and when i right click on an mpeg or avi file, mp3 etc. and select norton to scan i get the screen confirmation thing saying no files were scanned. it works fine for things like a word document or something. i just right click it and scan it and it says 1 file scanned no viruses. it just doesnt seem to like scanning mpegs. anybody out there able to help (is there some settings i have turned off??)

This is not Windows XP retated but I'll give you some tips...

you MPGs should be all in a folder... just right click the folder and select scan with norton. It will check the all folder. .mpgs are none executable extensions so Norton will treat them diferent. If Norton finds out that an mpg got some internal codes prepared for execution then you are not gonna be able to listem that specific file. so don't worry. By the way make sure that you have enable "Scaning compresed files" under Norton's settings... It should be enable by default

For more info visit http://www.norton.com

tried that mate and it still says 'total files scanned 0'. scanning in compressed files was already checked and got the same result when i put the mpegs in a folder
