Hi Joanne

Well well, a problem I may be able to help with. I deal with the system info folder all the time as I'm running a small hard disc and delete a lot to save space. The bit of information I don't have is what part of the folder is it residing in? There are parts of the folder that are harder to delete than others. Whatever, you can perhaps post that but there are a couple of things to do before that matters.
First of all you need a little shareware program called Tree Size Professional.
You can get that here. http://www.jam-software.com/treesize...zePro-Demo.exe It's a Demo but it's fully functional. The reason you need this is to gain access to the Sytem info file. You use this program exactly like the normal explorer program. The right click works the same too.
You should now be able to delete your trojan. You can only delete the restore point folders wholesale if they are not in use. e.g.
rp1
rp2
rp3
You could only delete rp1+rp2. Rp3 would be in use by windows.
You should be able to delete individual files within most of the folders if no other program isn't denying you access.

Any probs please reply.

Hope it works.

All the best

Les

If it is in a restore point (sys vol info usually is) disable then renable System Restore which will clear all restore points. If you do not want to do this the run an online scan at BitDefender or get AVG free, I have noticed that both of these products now repair virus / trojans in restore points.

Yep! Just like ANZAC said:

Kill System Restore.
Get in, and clean everything:
